Hey everyone,
I’ve been thinking about starting an online business lately. The idea of selling stuff on the internet seems pretty cool, but I’m not sure if it’s a good move. Has anyone here tried e-commerce before? I’d love to hear your thoughts on whether it’s worth giving it a shot.
Some things I’m curious about:
- How hard is it to set up an online store?
- Is the market too crowded already?
- What kind of products sell well online?
- Are there any unexpected challenges I should know about?
Any advice or experiences you can share would be super helpful. Thanks!

if u lov it, give it a go!
Hey FlyingEagle! Online retail is definitely an exciting venture to consider. I’ve been dabbling in it for a while now, and it’s been quite the rollercoaster ride!
Have you thought about what kind of products you’d like to sell? That’s usually a good starting point. I found that passion projects tend to do well - when you’re genuinely interested in what you’re selling, it shows in your marketing and customer interactions.
One thing I wish someone had told me earlier is how important good product photos are. Customers can’t touch or see the items in person, so your pics really need to do the heavy lifting. Do you have any photography skills?
Oh, and don’t forget about social media! It’s been a game-changer for my little online shop. Are you active on platforms like Instagram or TikTok?
Keep us posted if you decide to take the plunge! It’s always exciting to see new online shops pop up.
