Hi everyone,
I’m planning to buy a clothing e-commerce site that did well before but is now struggling. I’d love some tips from people who’ve bought or grown online stores.
Here’s what I know:
- They made over a million in sales in 2022 and 2023
- This year, they stopped ads and sales dropped a lot
- They have 40,000 past customers
- They make and sell their own stuff
- Their Facebook page has 19,000 followers and used to be active
I think I can bring this back to life, but I’m not sure where to start. How should I get the ads going again? What’s the best way to use the old customer list? Any ideas on making the site sell better?
If it goes well, I might need help running things. If you’re good at growing online stores, running ads, or making websites sell more, let me know!
Thanks for any help you can give!
hey steve, sounds like a cool opportunity! i’d start by lookin at what sold well before and bringing those items back. maybe reach out to old customers with a special deal to get em excited again. defintely fire up those facebook ads - thats prob why sales dropped. good luck man, hope it takes off!
Hey Steve89, sounds like you’ve got a real diamond in the rough there! Have you thought about digging into the sales data to see what made them so successful before? It might give you some cool insights on what to focus on first.
I’m super curious - what kind of clothing do they make? Is it trendy stuff, basics, or something more niche? That could really influence how you approach bringing it back to life.
For the customer list, maybe you could send out a survey to see what they loved about the brand and what they’d like to see more of? Could be a goldmine of ideas there.
Oh, and have you checked out their social media presence beyond Facebook? Instagram and TikTok are huge for fashion brands these days. Might be worth exploring if they’re not already on there.
Keep us posted on how it goes! I’d love to hear more about your journey reviving this brand. Who knows, maybe you’ll inspire others to take on similar projects!
Having taken over dormant e-commerce brands before, I can tell you it’s challenging but rewarding. First, dive into the sales data to identify top-performing products and customer segments. This will guide your initial strategy. Next, re-engage those 40,000 past customers with a compelling email campaign - perhaps offer an exclusive “welcome back” discount. Don’t neglect the Facebook following; revive the page with fresh, engaging content and targeted ads. Consider collaborating with fashion influencers to reach new audiences. Lastly, ensure your website is optimized for conversions and mobile-friendly. It’s a lot of work, but with a systematic approach, you can breathe new life into this brand. Best of luck with your venture!
