Payment Processing Charges Are Non-Refundable Under All Circumstances

Background:

I recently encountered a situation where a seller did not fulfill their delivery commitment. I wanted to cancel the order or request a return, yet I discovered that regardless of the issue, you still lose a portion of your expense because the processing fees are permanently retained.

Question:

Could someone explain why payment processing fees remain non-refundable even when a seller fails to deliver? I am seeking ideas on whether there are any exceptions or protective measures that buyers can adopt in similar scenarios. Any shared experiences or insights would be greatly appreciated.

hey, i get it, but paymnt fees cover handling & network costs and r non-refundble by design. if seller fails, bank policies dont revert fees. u might use buyer protekshun if its in the terms.
