I successfully entered my credit card details, but now I am stuck on a loading screen indicating that my payment is processing. It’s been displaying this message for approximately two minutes. Is this a typical situation?

hmm, two mins does seem like a long time to be stuck. Have u tried using incognito mode? sumtimes extensions aren’t the only thing, but cookies too can interfere. or try using a different netwrk, especially if ur on wifi. hope it works out!
