Can I integrate Shop Pay while continuing to use Authorize.net?

I’m looking to enable Shop Pay for my customers but do not wish to switch over to Shopify Payments just for this feature.

Is it feasible to maintain my current Authorize.net gateway while offering Shop Pay, especially given that Authorize.net doesn’t support alternative bi-weekly payment plans like those provided by options such as Afterpay or Klarna? Any advice on how to achieve this integration would be greatly appreciated.

After investigating a similar scenario, I found that integrating Shop Pay while continuing with Authorize.net is not straightforward. Shop Pay is tightly integrated with the Shopify ecosystem and generally requires the use of Shopify Payments to function optimally. In my experience, any attempt to bridge the two systems resulted in limited functionality that didn’t fully leverage all of Shop Pay’s features. A custom solution might work for basic processes, but it typically involves significant workarounds and may not be robust enough for growing businesses. Therefore, full integration without switching to Shopify Payments could lead to complications.

Hey folks, I’ve been mulling over this integration challenge as well. From what I’ve gathered, mixing Shop Pay with Authorize.net isn’t something Shopify intentionally supports, which makes it a bit of a puzzle. I haven’t tried a full-scale integration myself, but I wonder if anyone has looked into using some middleware or custom API work to make it happen? I know a lot of folks are trying to keep working with systems they love while still experimenting with new features. It would be awesome to hear if anyone stumbled upon a creative workaround or even if there are third-party solutions out there that can help bridge the two. What do you all think about the possibility of a hybrid approach? Has anyone had any success in maintaining both functionalities without having to compromise too much?
