I am looking for commercial packages related to ecommerce and CMS for Ruby on Rails. Are there any paid options that you would recommend? Any insights would be helpful. Thanks!
Hey there! Have you considered looking into Alchemy CMS? I’ve heard some good things about it for Rails projects. It’s not fully paid, but they do offer commercial support if you need it. Plus, you can extend it with custom stuff which is pretty cool.
For ecommerce, have you checked out Shuup? It’s not as well-known, but I’ve seen some folks talking about it integrating nicely with Rails. They’ve got both open-source and commercial versions, so you might find something that fits your needs.
Just curious, what kind of features are you looking for specifically? Are you after something that’s ready to go out of the box, or are you okay with a bit of customization? It’d be interesting to hear more about your project!
I’ve had success with Alchemy CMS for content management in Rails projects. It’s not entirely paid, but offers commercial support and extensions. The core is open-source, allowing customization, while paid add-ons provide advanced features. For ecommerce, I’d suggest looking into Shuup. It’s a lesser-known but powerful platform that integrates well with Rails. It has both open-source and commercial versions, giving flexibility based on your needs. These solutions might require some development work, but they offer a good balance of features and customization potential for Rails-based projects.
have u looked into Spree Commerce? Its not fully paid but offers commercial support. Also, Solidus could be worth checking out - its based on Spree but with some extra features. For CMS, Refinery is popular n can be extended with custom stuff. Might need some dev work tho.
