What are some recommended e-commerce solutions for Umbraco CMS?

Hey everyone,

I’m knee-deep in an Umbraco project and we need to add some basic online store features. I know about Commerce4Umbraco, but I’m wondering if there are other options out there.

Has anyone tried any good e-commerce add-ons or plugins for Umbraco? Or should I just look for a separate e-commerce system? It would be great to keep everything in one place, you know?

We’re pretty much set on using Umbraco for the content management side of things, so I’m hoping there’s a way to make it work for the store too. Any suggestions or experiences would be super helpful!

Thanks in advance for your input!

I’ve worked with Umbraco on several projects and can offer some insights. While Commerce4Umbraco is a solid choice, I’ve had success integrating Ucommerce with Umbraco. It’s quite flexible and offers a good range of features for most e-commerce needs.

One thing to consider is the scale of your online store. If you’re planning a large-scale operation, you might want to look at headless commerce solutions that can integrate with Umbraco via APIs. This approach offers more scalability and flexibility in the long run.

Another option worth exploring is TeaCommerce. It’s lightweight and designed specifically for Umbraco, which can make for easier integration and management.

Ultimately, the best solution depends on your specific requirements and future growth plans. I’d recommend thoroughly evaluating your needs before making a decision.

hey sailingbreeze, i’ve used uSyndicator for umbraco and it worked pretty well for me. its not as feature-rich as some others but it gets the job done for basic ecommerce stuff. just watch out for some weird quirks with product variants tho. have u considered shopify integration? thats another option if u want more robust features

Hey SailingBreeze! I totally get where you’re coming from with wanting to keep everything in one place. Have you looked into Vendr? It’s another e-commerce solution built specifically for Umbraco that I’ve heard good things about.

What kind of features are you looking for in your online store? Are we talking just basic product listings and checkout, or do you need something more complex?

I’m curious about your experience with Umbraco so far. How are you finding it for content management? I’ve been thinking about using it for a project myself, but I’m on the fence. Any pros or cons you’ve noticed?

Also, have you considered reaching out to the Umbraco community directly? They might have some insider tips or recommendations we haven’t thought of here. Sometimes those niche communities can be goldmines for specific info like this.

Keep us posted on what you decide to go with! I’d love to hear how it works out for you.
