Seeking PIM Solution for Large-Scale Online Store: 10K+ Products, Multiple Platforms, No Manufacturer API

Hey everyone, I’m in a bit of a pickle with my online business. We’re selling tons of stuff through different channels like WordPress, WooCommerce, eBay, and Amazon. But here’s the thing: we’ve got this huge spreadsheet with more than 10,000 items, and about 1,000 of them are in bundles. Our supplier only gives us spreadsheets, no fancy API stuff.

To make it worse, we’ve got a mountain of pictures and files to deal with. Right now, most of our sales are over the phone, but we really need to step up our game and sell more online.

I’m looking for a good Product Inventory Management system that can handle all this. Anyone got ideas on how to make this work smoothly? We need to get our products out there on all our platforms without losing our minds!

Any tips or tool suggestions would be awesome. Thanks in advance!

hey sky_dreamer, have u looked into akeneo? it can handle big catalogs and works with diff platforms. might be good for ur 10k+ products. also, zapier could help automate stuff from ur spreadsheets to sales channels. wat about the bundles tho? those can be tricky. maybe checkin out some custom integrations if nothing else fits. good luck!

Hey Sky_Dreamer, wow, that’s quite the challenge you’ve got there! I’m curious, have you looked into any cloud-based PIM solutions yet? I’ve heard good things about Akeneo and Pimcore for handling large catalogs like yours.

Speaking of your huge spreadsheet, how often does your supplier update it? I’m wondering if you could use something like Zapier to automate some of the data transfer between your spreadsheet and your sales platforms. Might save you a ton of headaches!

Oh, and what about those product bundles? Are they giving you extra trouble when trying to list them across different platforms? I’d be really interested to hear how you’re handling that currently.

Have you considered reaching out to any developers for custom integrations? Sometimes a bit of tailored code can work wonders for tricky setups like yours.

Keep us posted on what you end up trying. I’m sure lots of folks here would love to hear about your journey tackling this beast of an inventory!

Having dealt with similar challenges, I’d suggest looking into Pimcore. It’s a robust PIM solution that can handle your large catalog and integrates well with multiple platforms. One key advantage is its flexibility with data imports, which should work well with your supplier’s spreadsheets.

For your bundle products, Pimcore offers solid configuration options. This could streamline managing those 1,000 bundles across different sales channels.

Regarding your media management needs, Pimcore includes a Digital Asset Management system. This could be a game-changer for organizing your product images and files efficiently.

Given your current phone-heavy sales model, Pimcore’s multichannel capabilities might help you transition more smoothly to increased online sales. It supports creating tailored product information for each platform, potentially boosting your online presence.

While it might require some initial setup effort, Pimcore could provide the comprehensive solution you’re looking for. Consider reaching out to their team for a demo to see if it aligns with your specific needs.
