Opinions on Honeywell's latest mobile devices for retail inventory?

Hey everyone,

Our store just got the new Honeywell handheld devices for inventory management at the start of this month. I’m curious to hear what other retail workers think about them.

I’ve gotta say, I’m really missing my old iPhone setup. These new gadgets are taking some getting used to. Has anyone found any cool features or tricks that make them easier to work with? Or are you all struggling like me?

Also, how do they compare to other inventory devices you’ve used before? I’d love to hear about your experiences, good or bad. Maybe I just need to give them more time?

Let me know your thoughts!

I’ve been using the new Honeywell devices for about a month now, and I can relate to your initial frustration. They’re quite different from consumer smartphones, which takes some adjustment. However, I’ve found their durability to be impressive - they’ve survived multiple drops on our concrete floors without a scratch. The battery life is also notably better than our previous devices, easily lasting a full shift. The scanning speed is quick, which has improved our inventory process significantly. One useful feature I discovered is the ability to customize the home screen with frequently used apps, which streamlines daily tasks. While the learning curve is steep, I’d suggest giving them more time. They’re purpose-built for retail environments, which becomes apparent with extended use.

yo, i’ve been using those honeywell thingies for a couple weeks now. theyre not bad once u get used to em. the battery life is pretty sweet, lasts my whole shift. scanning’s quick too. took me a bit to figure out all the menus, but now im zipping through inventory checks. Give em some time, you’ll probably warm up to em!

Hey there! I’ve been eyeing those new Honeywell gadgets from afar. Haven’t had the chance to use them myself, but I’m super curious about how they’re working out for you guys. Have you found any unexpected perks that make inventory management easier? Or maybe some quirks that are driving you nuts?

I’m especially interested in how they handle busy periods. Do they keep up when things get hectic, or do they slow down? And what about the software - is it intuitive, or does it feel like you need a degree in rocket science to figure it out?

Oh, and here’s a random thought - how’s the ergonomics? Are they comfortable to hold for long periods? I remember using some clunky devices in the past that gave me hand cramps after an hour!

Keep us posted on your journey with these new toys. Who knows, maybe you’ll discover some hidden features that’ll make us all jealous!
