Hello everyone,
I recently discovered Vinted and made a purchase after setting up my account and entering my credit card information. Although the payment confirmed as successful, the app indicates that it is still being processed after 24 hours. I noticed my bank lists the transaction as pending but shows it has been approved.
Does it usually take this long for a payment to be processed? Additionally, I’ve encountered an issue with buying a second item, where I received a generic error when trying to make a payment. Could there be a limit on the number of purchases for new users? I tried different payment methods, but nothing worked, and I haven’t found any answers online or from customer support. Any insights would be appreciated!
Thank you!
Hey there! sometimes payment processing times can vary a lot. It might be security check related that’s causing the delay. For new accounts or unique transactions, it can trigger extra verification steps to ensure it’s all legit. If continues, maybe check with your bank or Vinted support again to be sure! Good luck!
Hey DashingDog! It’s definitely frustrating when payments take longer to process than expected, especially when you’re eager to snag those sweet deals on Vinted! From what you mentioned, it seems like the payment got stuck somewhere between your bank and the platform. I wonder if it’s related not just to transaction limits, but perhaps to regional regulations that might require additional checks for first-time buyers? Also curious, did your bank mention anything about a hold or if there’s a pattern with such delays for certain vendors? Maybe trying a different type of card from the same bank or even a different bank altogether could change the outcome? I’d be interested to know if anyone else had similar experiences and how they got around it. Keep us posted!
In my experience using platforms like Vinted, the delay in transaction processing can often boil down to a multitude of factors. Sometimes, it might just be an issue with how Vinted’s system communicates with your bank. I’ve noticed that some apps conduct additional fraud checks, especially for new accounts or sizeable transactions, which could explain the delay. Another possibility could be network congestion on Vinted’s side due to high traffic. If you’re still encountering errors, double-check your account settings for any restrictions or incomplete verifications. If all else fails, try reaching out to your bank to see if they can expedite the process. Their customer service might have more details about the pending status and possibly offer a solution faster than reaching Vinted support.
