Is it normal for customer support to be unresponsive for long periods?

I recently placed an order for a Christmas treat and the sticky date gift set just arrived. Unfortunately, the sticky date body spray had leaked and soaked the entire box, leaving the bottle nearly empty. I contacted customer support right away, but it has been 5 days and I still haven’t heard back from them. Is this common practice? I appreciate any insights!

In my own experience, response times from customer support can be highly variable depending on the company and the time of year. The holiday season often leads to a higher volume of inquiries, which can slow down response times significantly. However, five days is still quite a long wait. If phone support is available, I suggest giving them a call instead, as it might yield quicker results. Sometimes, persistence pays off, and multiple follow-ups can bring attention to your issue more efficiently.

it sux when they dont reply quick. I’ve had mixed experiences too. sometimes it’s fast, other times not so much. Maybe try reaching out on their social media? sometimes that gets their attn faster. good luck!

Oh no, Daisy! That’s so frustrating. I imagine you’re feeling quite disappointed, especially since we’re talking about a holiday gift…

Can I ask if this is your first time ordering from them? I’m curious if they’ve been reliable in the past or maybe this is a one-time hiccup. Also, have you considered reaching out through multiple channels, like email, chat, or even their app if they have one? I’m thinking that if they’re swamped with queries, it might be worth exploring those options.

And here’s a thought—have any of our fellow forum members experienced this with other companies but found a creative way to get better responses? I bet there are some interesting stories out there!

Hey Daisy, it’s a bummer waiting for a reply. Sometimes companies look at emails slower than other forms of contact. If they have an app or online chat, try sending a message that way too. They might just be overwhelmed with requests rn. Hope you get it sorted soon!
