I was recently informed by WM that once an order valued at $30 is fulfilled and delivered, no action can be taken—even if the customer later claims it arrived a day late (which it didn’t). WM explained that without a signature as proof of delivery, there is no coverage if issues arise. I’m truly surprised by this policy and wondering if everyone has now switched to using signature confirmation on all their shipments?
imho, its not a blanket rule. WM just errs on the side of caution for high value orders. for most low value shipments, sig conf may be overkill and add extra cost.
